NEWS

The Committee is very pleased to announced that the Institution's Council has made the Award of a Second Gold Bar to the Gold Badge held by our Honorable Secretary Faith (Fay) Harvey. This was in recognition of the invaluable hard work put in by Fay, despite a physically difficult period for her, during a very busy and successful year for the Committee which resulted in a record fund-raising sum being achieved.  Fay is very well-known in Lifeboat circles, and has been heavily involved in local fund-raising activity and management for very many years. The Special Award was  presented to Fay by the Duchess of cornwall at the Annual RNLI Awards Ceremony held at the Barbican Centre, London on May 17 2008.
